A very happy day was had at Chesham Bowling Club to celebrate 50 years of women member’s playing bowls.
A game on a cloudy but dry day was enjoyed by The Friends of English Bowls.
A lot of coming and going shouts of glee and sometimes disaster!! yet a meter from rink3 was a duck sat in the flower bed under a plant on a clutch of eggs totally oblivious of the special day.
The top rinks enjoyed colourful windmills with note pads for the lowest rinks so notes could be made to improve their game! A picture certificate to record the day was presented to the Lady Captain AS WELL as a big thank you to the club for an excellent meal and all the hard work behind the scenes that had gone into putting on the day.
Bowlers had come to support the Friends team from as far as Cornwall and Yorkshire to name just 2 counties represented.
