Someone tell it to stop raining!
Sunday 16th July 2023: A great afternoon spent at Chippenham Town BC. It was another rainy day for our long weekend but we were lucky with only a 5 minute call off the green during the match and some warmer weather to follow.
The match was played in the usual good spirit and after 18 ends the friends managed a win with a score of 112 – 79 winning all 6 rinks. The top winning rink for the friends was Rink 1 with a score of 23-13 Congratulations Mike, Louise, Dave and skip Stuart.
The highest rink for Chippenham Town was Rink 3 – Mike, Sue, Mike and skip Martin. Score 15 – 17 This was Chippenham Town’s Captains rink, and illustrated just how friendly we were by only winning by 2 shots (scoring 3 on the last end was helpful).

A splendid buffet followed the game, and the friendly chatter around the clubhouse was a pleasure to hear. The Captains were magnanimous with their thanks for those who helped with the day’s proceedings, and the rain had proved not to be a problem after all.
