Prepared for the Rain
Saturday 15th July 2023 We received a great welcome at Chippenham Park BC, and although we began the game in the rain, it did ease up, and we played 21 ends, with two trial ends. The green played really well, but Friends had to admit defeat with a final score of 130-100 to Chippenham Park.

13 Counties were represented by Friends, and this was the second day in a four-day bowling break in Wiltshire. We are all hoping the rains stays away for at least the next couple of days.

George, Stacey and Kevin ran an efficient bar, and following a most welcome dinner provided by Anthea, Shirley and Gwyneth, President Dave thanked the Friends for visiting the club, and the two Captains Becky, and Captain of the Day for Friends, Paul, reiterated their thanks to all who had helped with the day’s event. The Top Rinks for both sides were applauded and awarded, and Paul also had certificates to the ready for those unfortunately players who were spotted delivering a wrong bias!
An excellent day’s bowling on a great green, and it was a joy to meet and make more friends.
