We arrived at Amersham to celebrate the clubs 90th anniversary. It was a sunny day but quite fresh, our welcome to the club however was very warm as early arrivers were greeted by Delia.
The match was played in the usual good spirit and after 18 ends the friends managed a win with a score of 92 – 69 winning on 4 rinks and drawing the other. All the rinks scores were close apart from rink 1 who carried The Friends to victory with a score of 23 – 5. Well done to (L) John Thompson, (2) Tony Strudwick (3) Barry Dillon (skip) Adie Lloyd.

We were treated to a splendid tea and Friend’s Captain of the Day Clive Handscombe presented President Anne Begley with a framed certificate to commemorate the match and our visit, Despite the score the club was genuinely delighted that we came to visit them.
