Q. Is The Friends of English Bowling part of Bowls England?
A. No - it is a separate entity, but naturally works in close liaison with Bowls England.

Q. How can I join The Friends of English Bowling?
A. Download the Membership Application Form and send to Membership Secretary or contact the Membership Secretary.

Q. 'Friends' Membership : What is in it for me?
A. Please see the 'How to Join' - 'Benefits' page.

Q. Do you offer a family membership?
A. Every member does have to pay a small joining fee and annual subscription.

Q. Do I get a lapel badge?
A. Yes, on joining.

Q. Can I buy a lapel badge without being a Member?
A. No, sorry.

Q. How do I get on the The Friends of English Bowling Committee?
A. Similar to any organization you can be nominated for appointment by Members at the AGM.

Q. How can I get a game in a Friends of English Bowling match?
A. As a Member you will be able to submit your application to play in matches to the Match Secretary.

Q. How do I arrange a fixture with The Friends of English Bowling at my club?
A. Apply to the Match Secretary.

Q. How do I keep abreast of what is happening in The Friends of English Bowling?
A. Newsletters are issued to all members, twice a year (July & December). Bowls England newsletters are also sent to all Members with email addresses and there is of course news on the web site.

Q. What or who is an Associate Member?
A. Associate members are those Counties, Regions, Districts, Clubs or Society Bowling Associations that have become Members. Currently all of the Men’s County Associations are members and unified Counties are also joining.

Q. What is the Bowlers Draw Society?
A. The BDS is the operating (trading) name of the sub-committee of the Friend’s Executive that has run the Bowlers Draw since 2008.
