The Friends of English Bowling was set up in
2005 to provide sponsorship and development funding for the sport of outdoor
flat green bowls in England.
The Friends provides an
opportunity for anyone who has enjoyed the sport to put something
back by providing much needed financial support for its national
championships and competitions, as well as supporting development and
grass-root initiatives.
Whilst initially established as supporters of
the mens game (EBA) and the Worthing Championships our remit has now
expanded to embrace the unification process and the creation of Bowls England
in 2008. Whilst always seeking new members of both genders, we are particularly
keen to encourage more women to become members and enable us to increase our
support of both National Championships.
Our Individual Membership for
each of our first 3 years (2006/7/8) has exceeded 200 members. To become a
Member all that is required is the payment of a Joining Fee of £100 and
the payment of an Annual Membership subscription of £100. We are also
supported by two other categories of membership, Corporate Members and
Associate Members. For Membership details - see the How to join
page of this website.
Thank you for supporting our cause and your
interest in visiting our website.
